Micro-welding, which is common in standard steel/steel bearings is eliminated with this ceramic ball/steel race bearing. Our testing shows 1/2 to 5/8 HP improvement. Not a ton, but how important is that critical 1-2 kart length lead at the end of the straight?
How do we do this? By precision matching sets of silicon nitride balls that weigh 60% less than the conventional steel balls they replace,
the RCE main bearings are assembled with a high temperature, low friction thermoplastic cage with less friction than the standard steel cage.

How long do they last? We've had sets in several engines for over 2 long track seasons for over 30 hours! A good general rule is to change Hyper spin main bearings every other crank replacement.
